  Should Employers be WARNED about Jehovahs Witnesses

  any gov agency or private company that has private personal info of customers/clients should be aware.

  its common knowledge to long time witnesses that jws will violate customer privacy laws and rules when they see something a customer does or buys that they think jw congregation elders should know about .

  thats right they will spy for the elders.. .

  JWs are the reason i almost didnt get the best job i ever had!

  Dont know if i have ever shared this but this thread on employing JWs probably is a good home for it...apologies if not.

  I was unemployed, not long off the regular pioneer list seeing that we had just had a baby. Reality had set beck in and i had to leave what had been a pretty idealic time (working part time both of us) and head back into full time work. So there i was on a stinking hot day, delivering junk mail when i decided to call into the local jon service. Found a job i thought i could do and made the phone call....

  Introduced my self to the boss who asked what my work history had been and i got to the 4 year pioneering part, "engaged as a full time minister doing evangelical work with jehovahs Witnesses" (what a crock of shit we told ourselves) his immeadiate, unhesitating reply?

  "in that case i have no interest in employing you at all, goodbye"...

  I managed to catch him before he hung up and asked why...I was pretty desperate for job. So he allowed me to explain a bit, he told me about a recent employee who "was a JW and was nothing but a pain in the arse". After some quick thinking and ad libbing about how we are not all like that he said "well you have mangaed to talk your way into an interview...but you are going to have to work hard to sell yourself"

  And I did, and he was impresses enough to tell me as far as he was concerned the job was mine but his wife would be very opposed to it. next day i get a phone call to come for a second interview with the wife. he had told her (she worked in the firm as well) that the guy he wanted for the job was another JW and well, lets just say she was NOT enthusiastic, and i had to work harder to convince her that i would be ok to employ.

  I got the job.

  The JW was still working there when i started and boy was it obvious why he didnt fit in...he was always preaching. every time one of the 15 other workers had a birthday (so there were plenty of them) he would make a point of going into the typical JW speel about birthdays being pagan...(as if it mattered to these people) needless to say, they 'persecuted" him without mercy.

  JWs as employees can do a great job in turning dozens of people OFF the witnesses. This guy turned off more than he could have ever hoped to convert in 2 lifetimes of missionary service.

  And the best part?

  The people that worked there became friends, the boss and his wife remain to this day (19 years later) the very best friends i have ever made. They saw me transition from full on JW to where i am today. The staff like to think they had a hand in 'corrupting me', and they did...

  it looks like you are in the first stages of waking up.. you have been shocked to the core by getting disfellowshipped, what for does not really matter here.

  you came to voice your feelings then die, you have voiced the feelings and then hung in there.

  i am sure many are very proud of you for that, i am.. now, your thoughts of survival are turned towards your loved one, will it work?, ''i'm a jw and he is not''.... fisrt up, you are now, not a jehovah's witness.

  hey peoples

  we can't have tape recordings and letters with everything we would like on them, the WT is not stupid.

  not everyone walks around taping things, esp when they think the discussion may be about something else, its not like Vincent would have given the unthanks a transcript of what he was going to say in advance...

  good grief people, take some things at face value until proven otherwise...there is plenty of other stuff most do believe about the WT that can never be "proven' in print or recording.

  A bit of a rant... the selfishness of older generations

  i was talking to mrs cedars earlier about one of the things that really frustrates me about our situation as "faders" - namely the fact that we are looked down on by our respective parents, not to mention other older generations of our family.

  it strikes me that the incessant attempts to drag us back into unquestioned loyalty to the organization is actually extremely selfish, even though (in their minds) they have only our best interests at heart.. i think of it this way.

  they made a decision when they were younger to follow in the footsteps of their own parents' faith - without doing objective research into the beliefs or history of the organization.

  Put them out of their misery (or add to it) just come clean that you do not believe and will never come back so they can jolly well like it or lump it.

  Admitedly i have never had to do that in words (mother knows it anyway) but man, how do people live with having to walk on egg shells around family?

  To me, if they wont accept me as i am, then they aint worth calling family. tough.

  jonno12225 posted earlier that god was resposable for some 25 million deaths of men women children and babys in the bible.. my first question is how many innocent deaths is satan responsible for, in the bible ?..

  my second question is in genisis 8 21 god said "never again shall i call down evil upon the ground on mans account".. seems to me this god is capable of great evil, by his own admission, blatantly lies, (whats this big a all about) and is sooooo hypocritical, what makes some one devote there whole life to such a god ?????..

  The Bible and Masturbation...4000 years of inspired input and no scriptures about it ?

  my philosophy when i was a teenager :"those who admit to it are stupid ,those who deny it are liars" that was my response to peers who posed such a subject when i was a teen .now, being a mature aged person i think this subject could do with a bit more enlightened content.. i am a male so i can`t speak for the females ,who, i hope will give their input on this topic for discussion.and i mean it as a serious discussion.. males experience erections from the time they are babies and the natural thing to do is to hold it , and before you know it fondling it gives you releif.. society doesnt help by making you feel guilty and like shit as a dirty person.why in the world do babes ,young children ,young boys get erections before they even know what it`s function is for.

  if a god designed sex for procreation then surely this wouldnt become an issue until they reached the age of puberty ,not when a male is still a baby.. and getting back to my op nowhere in the bible does it talk about masturbation which surely has been going on since adam was a boy/man.. i`m sorry, but to deny that you would have to be a complete idiot ,imbecile ,fool ,or just brain dead.. so for 4000 years of inspired scriptures from god ,nothing is said about a condition that effects every man from his birth to his death .. makes you wonder doesn`t it ?.
